What is StoreReady?

StoreReady is an optional extension to our Self Storage Licence Agreement. It extends the circumstances in which Mobistorage accepts liability if your goods are lost or damaged while they are stored at our facility — up to the Maximum Replacement Value you declare, and subject to the StoreReady Terms. StoreReady is not insurance.

Protection & conditions

View all FAQs
  • What events are covered?

StoreReady protects your stored goods against loss or damage caused by events including fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, storm, wind and water, bursting or leaking pipes, water ingress (other than flood), theft involving forcible and violent entry, vermin from an external cause, riot or civil commotion, and impact by vehicles or aircraft. All protection is subject to the StoreReady Terms.

  • What is not covered?

StoreReady does not cover flood, war, terrorism, damage caused by your own acts — including incorrect packing of your container and goods in transit (this is covered under a separate policy). Some goods are excluded or have limited protection, such as jewellery, alcohol, fine art and electronic items. Please read the StoreReady Terms for the full list of exclusions and limits.

  • What is a Maximum Replacement Value?

This is the total cost to replace all your stored items with brand-new equivalents today. It is important to declare an accurate value. If the declared amount is lower than the actual replacement cost, any compensation will be proportionally reduced.

  • Is there an excess?

Yes. You bear the first $100 of each claim.

  • What happens if I don’t choose StoreReady?

Without StoreReady, your goods are stored at your own risk and our liability for loss or damage is strictly limited under the standard licence agreement. We strongly recommend opting in to StoreReady or making sure you have adequate separate insurance cover in place.

  • How do I arrange StoreReady?

You can select StoreReady while booking your container, or contact our team to add it to your account later. Simply sign the Mobile Self Storage Licence Agreement including the StoreReady Addendum Terms, provide your Maximum Replacement Value, and agree to the monthly fee to activate your protection.
